Tour of Israel 2014 – Itinerary

Day1

Camel RidingYou will all gather at Dan Panorama Tel Aviv hotel for the orientation meeting at 8PM in the evening after the evening meal. This will be a time to meet and greet other guests in the tour party plus meeting your tour guide.
Overnight; Dan Panorama Tel Aviv 5*hotel.

 

Day 2

Your first trip in the morning will be along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to Caesarea.
You will see the Roman Amphitheatre and Aqueducts. Then journey on to visit Mt Carmel, Nazareth and a Nazareth village.
Overnight; Ron Beach Tiberius or similar.

Day 3

Today you spend time in the vicinity of the Sea Of Galilee.
Capernaum, Korazim, Bethesda, Mt of Beatitudes, then, a relaxing cruise on the Sea of Galilee.

Day 4

Today it is a visit to the Golan Heights Hazor, Tel Dan,(where the Children of Israel fell into pagan worship)  Caesaria Philippi and the Syrian border.

Day 5

River JordanOne of the first visits today will be at a Jordon River Baptism site near Jerico. Then travel southward to Beit Shean Scythopolis, a renowned archaeological site in Israel.
You then pass by the Qumran Caves  where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered
Conclude this day with a swim /or float, in the Dead Sea

Day 6

Your day begins with a cable car ride to the mountain top fortress of Massada. Hear your guide will relate the history of the famous stand of the zealots, then it is a visit to Arad and  Beer Sheva.

Day 7

Today in the City of David – Visit the “Upper Room” just outside the Zion Gate then it is to the House of Caiaphas where Jesus was beaten.
Enjoy lunch in the Jewish Quarter, followed by an interesting and educational visit to The Israeli Museum.
Conclude this day with a visit to Yad Vashem – the Holocaust Museum.

Day 8

Today you will visit the Temple Mount, a chance to study the life of the Temple in the days of Jesus includes a visit to the Southern steps of the Temple excavations, followed by a trip to Bethlehem

Day 9

Garden of GethsemanYou start your day with a visit to the Mt of Olives and then the Garden of Gethsemane. You will see the pools of Bethesda then follow the Lords footsteps on the Via Dolorosa.
Lunch in the Old City.
Then a tour of the Garden Tomb.
Overnight; Jerusalem; King Solomon Hotel

 

Day 10

For those who wish to conclude the tour – it is departure time according to their schedule.

There is a three day extension for those who are interested in visiting Petra-as follows.
Today you will visit the fascinating place of Petra in Jordan.
Here you will walk (or ride) through the spectacular Chasm and monastery – often referred to as the City of Refuge

Day 11

From Petra to Madaba, Mt Nebo – where Moses was able to see the Promised Land, cross the Jordan river back to Israel,
Overnight; to be advised

Day 12

Time of reflection and saying farewell to new-found friends – then it is departure time according to individual schedules.
