Set in outback’s of Queensland is the township of Longreach wearing the title ‘Heart of the Outback’ – and is the gateway to your pioneer experience. Here you will bring the past to life, taking you to the heart of what it means to live large in this iconic outback region. You will feel like a pioneer venturing light-year from the city. Suddenly the past does not seem so distant, and the pioneering spirit shows its face around any corner. Some of the places we visit: Nogo Station, Qantas Founders Outback Museum, Ringers Restaurant, The Cobb & Co Stagecoach Experience, Harry Redford Old Time Tent Show, multi award winning Starlight’s Cruise Experience on the west’s only paddle wheeler for the spectacular light and sound show. We then move on to Winton where you will experience the Winton Discovery Tour, Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum, historic North Gregory Hotel, Waltzing Matilda Centre, Arno’s Wall before returning to Longreach to see the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame & Outback Heritage Centre, the famous Cattleman’s Bar & Grill for dinner and watch the Outback Stockman’s Show. We will then make our way back to Brisbane via the Spirit of the Outback overnight rail journey. On this incredible 10-day experience we will do it all via road, rail, plane, train boat and of course – horse and cart!
