The Marlborough Sounds is made up of four distinctly different Sounds – Queen Charlotte, Kenepuru, Pelorus, and Mahal, at the top of New Zealand’s South Island. The Marlborough Sounds are an extensive network of sea-drowned valleys created by a combination of land subsidence and rising sea levels. According to Māori mythology, the sounds are the “prows of the sunken wakas of Aoraki”. Let’s go and immerse ourselves into the region for a few days and discover some of those hidden treasures which make this area so popular.
