Join us for a day out in Whakatane. We will enjoy a delicious morning tea at the lovely Red Barn. A café, bakery & gift shop in a lovely country setting of Thornton. Our next stop will be the award-winning visitor experience of Mataatua – the House that came back. A fully carved Māori ancestral house that travelled the world for over a century and finally came home. This story is amazing and nearly unbelievable, and you need to hear it told. You will marvel at the intricacy of the carved representations, and you will be doubly amazed as the Legends unfold in lights. Prepare to be moved by this story and experience. It is like no other I have seen or heard. You will be offered traditional kawakawa tea & kumara brownies following this experience.
Includes: Door to door transport, attraction entry fees + am tea.
