Northern Hemisphere Christmas traditions obviously don’t translate that well down here in the South Pacific when the festive season rolls round. So, we realised the solution was to have two Christmas celebrations a year – a summer-themed one for the actual day, and a faux Yuletide in the middle of the southern winter, when heavy, tasty feasts in a snug dining room surrounded by friends and family make far more sense. With mid-winter Christmas parties now firmly established in the Kiwi calendar, this could be the year for you to take your celebration to a new level.  What better place to enjoy this than The Henley – a little bit posh and little bit fun and very English.
