Description
How frequently have you considered going to Lake Waikeremoana? Well, this is your opportunity to achieve it, let me do all the arranging and the driving. We will take some of the roads less travelled from Tauranga to Lake Waikeremoana. Lake Waikeremoana (“sea of rippling waters”) is arguably the most beautiful body of water in New Zealand’s North Island but is seldom visited because it is a little “off the beaten track”. In the heart of Te Urewera National Park, it features spectacular rock formations, waterfalls, forest, caves, calm bays and inlets. It is also rich in European and Tuhoe history. Although this journey traverses some unsealed roads, it presents the opportunity to explore one of the most remote and stunning parts of our country. You won’t be climbing mountains or having to sleep in your sleeping bag, we will provide the most comfort as is possible. If it’s been on your Bucket List – this is the chance to tick it off.
